This review may contain a little more information than you really need, but... This is by far the best Mexican fast-food (fast-food meaning tacos/tortas, etc.) restaurant in Chicago. The food is outstanding and the prices are cheap; this place gives you a hell of a lot of bang for your buck. I've lived in the Chicago area all of my life and have been going here for years. Since I currently live in the NW Suburbs, I can only get there about once every 3-4 weeks, but it's well worth the 45 minute trip. If you don't live close but happen to come upon tickets to an event downtown or at Comiskey, stop here on the way there. The neighborhood (26th and Pulaski) is not the best, but you can park across the street in the restaurant parking lot and walk over to this place without any hassle. It's a busy street and there isn't a light and I'm guessing half of the people driving there don't have a license, so be careful crossing. I personally prefer the steak torta, but I also like their chorizo and avacado tacos. Also, the licuados are awesome, try a strawberry/banana one. The food is excellent, but like any food you eat with your hands, you'll want to clean up afterwards. Watch out for the hot water -- it's hot! Believe me... you'll be hooked on this place the first time you try it.
